Artist Statement
I am a multidisciplinary artist working in both two and three dimensional spaces. I often examine the abstract presence of consumerism and the human condition through the lens of the screen and media. In centering contemporary human associations with digital media and consumerism, I explore how the screen has become a part of our everyday lives. I sample and remix recognizable imagery sourced from social media, tv, and everyday life while incorporating my own stylistic language to ensure constant conversation throughout my work across all mediums. My experimental practice blends stylistic qualities of digital realism and fine art to create an approachable entry point for the viewer to develop deeper thoughts on the pervasive nature of our consumer culture based culture.
